This policy explains how JOLMAP (PTY) LTD ("JolMap", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use the JolMap mobile application, website and related services.
Information we collect
- Account information such as your name, email address and authentication identifiers.
- Location information when you grant location permission, used to show nearby venues and distances.
- Content and activity you submit, including crowd reports, queue estimates, check-ins, favourites, friend interactions and venue media.
- Device and notification information, such as a push notification token and basic technical diagnostics.
- Subscription and purchase status supplied by an app store or payment provider. We do not receive your complete card number from the app store.
How we use information
We use information to operate and secure JolMap, authenticate accounts, show relevant venues, calculate distance, process subscriptions, deliver notifications, support users, improve reliability and comply with legal obligations.
Location
Location access is optional and depends on your device permission. You can disable it in device settings, although nearby and distance features may then be unavailable.
Service providers
We may use reputable infrastructure, authentication, mapping, notification, analytics and payment providers to operate JolMap. They process information only for the services they provide and under their own applicable terms and privacy safeguards.
Retention and deletion
We retain information only for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, secure the platform and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion through our account deletion page.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
JolMap is intended for adults aged 18 and older and is not directed to children.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, or object to certain processing.
